Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic PR professional to lead strategic communications initiatives and enhance brand visibility. This role manages internal teams and external agencies, coordinates media relations, and supports executive and VIP engagements. The ideal candidate will drive storytelling efforts and elevate the resort’s public image across all PR channels. This is a hands-on and exciting opportunity for an accomplished PR professional to be part of a transformative project that will redefine luxury hospitality in the UAE
Essential Duties & Tasks
- Develop and implement strategic public relations campaigns on behalf of Wynn Al Marjan Island and the business units of the resort
- Oversee and guide the efforts of PR Managers and Agency support
- Plan and conduct public relations and media relations activities designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for Wynn Al Marjan Island
- Serve as day-to-day contact with leaders of each business unit and meet regularly to determine story ideas and needs
- Respond to reporter requests for information and interviews
- Accompany executives and resort related talent to all media and public relations activities, on or off property
- Coordinate the resort experiences of visiting media
- Welcome and host VIP visitors to the property
- Organize press conferences and special events
- Update and assist with the creation of media and general marketing materials (press releases, written materials, photos, video, web sites, etc.)
- Manage the timely distribution of press materials to the media
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and lead the implementation of newly created strategy
- Manage activities of public relations firms hired for specific related projects
- Represent the resort and business units at community and business events
- Manage the distribution of print and electronic press clippings
- Assist with the archival library of all public relations and marketing materials
- Maintain a media activity database
- Prepare PR schedules and reports for internal distribution
- Collaborate with internal PR department to develop concepts, strategies and tactics for public relations and promotions program
Qualifications / Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field
- Must have a minimum of ten years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of regional and global print and electronic media
- Advanced writing ability and excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing communication strategies
- Familiarity with the hospitality, luxury, and entertainment industries is highly preferred
