The Private Banker role focuses on developing business across diverse markets and regions within all areas of private clients and family offices of UHNWI & HNWI, especially with different offshore and onshore locations across numerous booking centers, which is highly competitive and appealing to the regional and international customer base.
Key responsibilities include:
- Achieving superior sales revenues and AUMs above targets to increase FAB's market share.
- Providing clients with high-level service and comprehensive investment solutions.
- Identifying and segmenting target markets, developing business to expand portfolios, and implementing strategic marketing plans for Private Banking.
- Building and managing a portfolio of UHNWI & HNWI clients, offering personalized services.
- Maintaining and expanding the current and future client base, acquiring new business via referrals, contacts, and marketing.
- Enhancing PB offerings through group and open architecture initiatives by supporting internal processes and workflows.
Additional tasks include:
- Developing and maintaining a client base of HNWI & UHNWI, providing excellent service to develop new business and secure referrals.
- Managing end-to-end projects and liaising with group colleagues.
- Generating new business through personal connections and professional networks.
- Spotting opportunities externally and within the group.
- Promoting the main businesses of Private Banking, marketing, and business development for both Offshore Switzerland & Onshore UAE.
- Coordinating and promoting prospects with other RMs and group offices globally.
- Promoting cross-selling across group branches in the Gulf and globally.
- Developing relationships with decision-makers to generate referrals.
- Identifying target markets, developing new business, and increasing wallet share.
- Proactively initiating solutions sales and market initiatives.
- Participating in product development and marketing.
- Soliciting business across various disciplines, including Private Banking, Fiduciary services, Wealth Protection, Portfolio Management, and more complex financial products.
- Maintaining client portfolios and developing new investment relationships, especially with strategic clients like directors of multinationals and diaspora communities.
- Providing 24/7/365 high-level service, including during vacations and international travel.
- Assessing prospects thoroughly, including due diligence on PEPs, OFAC, AML, and KYC standards.
- Assessing financial needs and risk tolerances to develop optimal solutions.
- Monitoring and maintaining client relationships, ensuring reports and compliance are up to date.
- Ensuring proper diversification of client portfolios unless specifically requested otherwise.
- Participating in product development and marketing initiatives as needed.
- Maintaining MIS records related to individual clients.
- Cross-selling all relevant banking and investment products.
- Promoting open architecture solutions tailored to client needs.
- Managing the UAE office end-to-end in the absence of business heads on a rotational basis.
- Supporting RMs and staff support functions as needed, liaising with middle and back offices.
- Performing any other tasks reasonably requested.
Qualifications:
- Excellent academic record from a reputable university, preferably in business, economics, marketing, or with an MBA or finance background.
- Strong relationship management and business development skills.
- At least 5 years of experience in private banking or related banking environments, with leadership experience.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
