Director, Performance Assurance Team (PAT) will support and provide operational and technical advice and guidance to the business leads and their teams, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives, to ensure consistent and reliable performance of the operating plants.
Strategy & Plans
- Contribute to the Regional Business strategy to ensure it is fit for purpose and aligned with overall organizational objectives.
- Regularly report to the line manager on the Business Area activities, challenges, issues faced, mitigations taken, etc., to keep them informed and updated on the department's activities.
Budget Management
- Lead the annual budgeting process for all the plants in the region and provide required guidance to ensure all aspects are considered while developing the budget.
- Work with stakeholders (Plant GMs, Business Heads, Finance team, etc.) to ensure seamless collaboration and timely clarification of variances.
- Monitor financial performance against the budget monthly/quarterly, identify variances, and take prompt corrective actions.
Plant Performance Management
- Support Business Heads in collecting data on plant performance, identifying gaps, and improving them.
- Manage the development and implementation of annual KPIs for the plants, ensuring effective cascading of organizational KPIs.
- Monitor plant performance against KPIs quarterly, highlighting variances and implementing action plans.
- Develop strategies to improve Asset Management Framework (AMF) and ensure continuous performance improvement.
Plant Set Up
- Coordinate with NOMAC BD team and conduct handover sessions with Plant and PAT teams to share project information, lessons learned, documentation, and resolve issues.
Management Reporting
- Review performance reports to provide accurate, timely information to management and shareholders for effective decision-making.
Policies, Processes, Systems & Procedures
- Ensure the implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and controls to meet procedural and legislative requirements, delivering quality and cost-effective services.
Skills
- Extensive leadership and techno-commercial experience.
- Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environment Management principles.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in performance management, decision-making in ambiguity, and understanding of the business value chain.
- Ability to work with diverse cultures and experience with Power Purchase Agreements and O&M.
Who will fit?
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 15-18 years of experience in Operations and Maintenance of power plants.
