Primary purpose of the role:

We are seeking a visionary AI/ML leader with deep technical expertise and proven experience in building and scaling intelligent document processing solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, OCR engines, and large language models (LLMs), along with hands-on Python development skills.

This role will be instrumental in driving innovation across AI-powered document understanding and automation initiatives. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced systems that integrate OCR pipelines with LLMs to extract, classify, and contextualize data from unstructured sources.

The role requires end-to-end involvement from high-level system architecture and solution strategy to detailed model development, optimization, and implementation. Candidates should be passionate about AI and capable of translating business requirements into scalable ML-driven systems.

Your role in our mission:

  • Provides technical and strategic leadership across AI/ML programs focused on intelligent document processing, OCR, and LLM-based solutions. Accountable for operational and financial performance across multiple AI initiatives or a significant sub-function.
  • Translates vision into executable AI/ML strategies, aligning technology innovation with business objectives.
  • Leads and mentors cross-functional teams of data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers.
  • Influences the evolution of functional and technical strategy through strong domain expertise and delivery impact.
  • This is a senior-level position suitable for individuals with a strong record of accomplishment in applied AI/ML leadership, especially in document AI, OCR, and LLM-based solutions.

Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

Responsibilities - 100% of the time:

  • Creating innovative solutions for new and existing IRM customers.
  • Creating high-level technical design and architecture.
  • Designing highly scalable & performant solutions.
  • Leading design and solution discussions with various Iron Mountain partner vendors.
  • Implementing complex solutions.
  • Liaising with the domain leadership team on existing features and developing product roadmap that caters to the market.
  • Designing with Microservices architecture.
  • Mentoring development team.
  • Business travel required: 40-60% of the time.

Experience with following Tech Stack:

  • Python plus (Django / Flask/Pyramid) Frameworks
  • Spark
  • Java, Springboot
  • Code Repositories: Bitbucket or Git
  • SQL
  • Databases (Oracle, Mongo, Dynamo, PostGreSQL)
  • API Integration (RESTful)
  • JSON and XML
  • Message Bus (Kafka)
  • Cloud Technologies: AWS, GCP, Azure (Dockers, Containers, Kubernetes)
  • CI / CD Pipeline

Experience with UI Technologies:

  • Angular, React, Javascript, HTML5

Qualification & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Master's Degree
  • 10+ years of leading software development teams with prior design & development / coding experience
