A Director of Sales manages the hotel sales plans by recommending growth efforts, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the hotel is competitively positioned within the local marketplace.

What will I be doing?

As Director of Sales, you will work closely with the Senior Management Team to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels. You will develop the sales team and groom high performers. Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing hotel sales and marketing plans to support business objectives and focus sales efforts across market segments
  • Collaborating with senior management to identify and support key business areas
  • Preparing hotel contracts aligned with current business and pricing strategies
  • Monitoring offers, options, and discounts for repeat bookings in coordination with the Group Coordinator
  • Leading and developing the sales team, participating in hiring and coaching
  • Managing forecasting processes with the Revenue Department and preparing relevant reports
  • Participating in the creation of the annual Sales and Market Plan, quarterly updates, and hotel budgets
  • Implementing sales and marketing initiatives, and organizing relevant meetings
  • Recommending and monitoring local sales activities and resources
  • Providing comprehensive information about hotel products and services to sales channels
  • Producing timely reports for management
  • Presenting monthly sales activities and contributions to hotel owners and senior management
  • Working with Reservations and Banqueting Departments to enhance guest experience and sales programs
  • Contributing to management meetings to develop sales strategies
