• Candidates must demonstrate substantial retail development experience to be considered.

We are currently supporting a client with the appointment of a Director of Retail Development for a significant portfolio of retail and mixed‑use developments in Dubai.

This opportunity requires an experienced development professional with a proven track record in major retail projects, capable of managing the full development lifecycle from initial feasibility through to completion.

• Lead developments from feasibility, concept and business case through design, procurement, construction and handover.
• Oversee development appraisals, budgets, project programmes and commercial performance.
• Drive retail concepts, asset positioning, tenant mix and leasing requirements.
• Manage consultants, contractors and key project stakeholders.
• Ensure projects meet commercial, operational and delivery objectives.
• Oversee tenant fit‑out, operational readiness and asset handover.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 12 years' experience in real estate development.
• Extensive retail development experience is essential, ideally across major shopping centres, retail destinations or retail‑led mixed‑use schemes.
• Strong commercial understanding of feasibility, development appraisals and project delivery.
• Proven ability to manage developments from inception through completion.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
