We are looking for a Director of Projects Development for a government-affiliated entity based in the UAE.
Location – Sharjah, UAE
Salary – 35,000 – 40,000 AED/month + benefits
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
- Senior -level experience in real estate development and project leadership
- Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale, mixed-use, hospitality, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of UAE authority frameworks, permitting, and development regulations
- Proven expertise in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing consultant/contractor interfaces
- Proficient in project management tools, reporting systems, and stakeholder presentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Strategy & Governance - Contribute in define and oversee project development strategies in alignment with the company’s investment goals, brand vision, and sustainability mandates.
- Cross-Functional Leadership - Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across technical, planning, cost, and project management domains to ensure cohesive and accountable delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Representation - Act as the senior interface with consultants, contractors, regulatory authorities, utility agencies, and community representatives across all project phases.
- Design Management & Integration - Approve - consultant scopes and design briefs; ensure effective cross disciplinary integration and compliance with cost, sustainability, and regulatory goals.
- Procurement Oversight - Supervise prequalification, tendering processes, and contractor evaluations to ensure clear technical and commercial documentation and award justifications.
- Construction & Risk Management - Monitor project execution, site mobilization, and progress; oversee contractor performance, variation controls, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Testing, Commissioning & Handover - Ensure readiness for final testing, handover documentation, and coordination with Facilities Management for post-handover transition.
- Reporting & Executive Coordination - Oversee progress reporting, cost controls, authority compliance, and executive presentations; support Senior Director in shaping strategic delivery benchmarks.

About the Role:
The Project Development Director is responsible for leading the full development lifecycle of real estate projects—from concept initiation through handover—ensuring alignment with strategic, financial, regulatory, and sustainability objectives. This executive role oversees multidisciplinary teams, manages stakeholder engagement, and ensures delivery excellence across design, procurement, execution, and
transition phases.
The PD acts as the senior development authority for the project portfolio, guiding project teams and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards.
