Job summary

TalentsTide in Dubai seeks a Performing Arts Department Manager (Director level) to lead the city’s sector strategy for the performing arts, engaging external stakeholders, audiences, and creatives to identify gaps and opportunities and drive impact.

The role oversees budget, programs, partnerships, funding initiatives, and policy input, while developing local and international talent and ensuring governance across the sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Performing Arts, Applied Arts, Business Administration, Project Management, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Track record managing multidisciplinary teams and large-scale stakeholder engagement.
• Experience shaping policy recommendations for a sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the sector strategy for performing arts, including objectives, KPIs, and programs.
• Run the department's annual operational plan and budget.
• Assess the performing arts ecosystem to spot gaps and needs.
• Shape sector policy and provide input into legislation.
• Build partnerships to deliver strategic initiatives.
• Design and manage funding programs, grants, and awards.
• Develop and promote local and international performing arts talent.
• Oversee exhibition planning, design, and documentation for the sector.
• Lead department budget consolidation and compliance.
• Manage and develop direct reports, set objectives, and review performance.

Education
