DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the team. The property features 723 rooms, 14 food and beverage outlets, 7 pools, and a private beach, offering elevated comfort and diverse culinary experiences. The Director of Operations will oversee Guest Activities, Front Office, Food & Beverage, Kitchen & Culinary, Stewarding, Recreation, Security, Entertainment, and Engineering.

What will I be doing?

As Director of Operations, your responsibilities include:

  1. Monitoring staff performance and conducting evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  2. Ensuring all operational areas meet or exceed standards and compliance requirements.
  3. Managing daily quality processes, guest satisfaction metrics, and service recovery efforts.
  4. Leading financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
  5. Fostering effective communication and team development across departments.
Supporting Functions
  • Participating in the hotel CARE Committee and overseeing guest, team, and community projects.
  • Providing coaching on profitability and staffing to managers.
  • Organizing promotional activities aligned with hotel branding.
Organizational Relationships
  • Reporting directly to the General Manager, with all department Heads of Department (HODs) reporting to this role.
  • Assessing performance, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity.
  • Leading team-building and staff recognition initiatives.
What are we looking for?

We seek candidates who demonstrate:

  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with experience leading large teams.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Guest-centric approach with high standards of service quality.
  • Relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creativity, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in social media, F&B systems, and MS Office.
  • Practical IT literacy and hotel management knowledge.
  • Experience in budget planning, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Minimum 10 years of hospitality management experience, preferably in international hotel chains, with prior executive-level involvement. UAE experience is a plus.
Education and Qualifications
  • Degree from a recognized university or college.
  • Proven track record in hospitality management at an executive level.
