Job summary

Credo Talent Solutions is seeking a Director of Shipping & Logistics in Abu Dhabi to lead end-to-end shipping and logistics, ensuring safe, compliant, timely, and cost-effective movement of materials and goods across domestic and international markets.

The role requires developing logistics strategy, overseeing transportation, port operations, trade compliance, and driving cost optimization while collaborating with multiple functions to sustain plant operations and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in shipping, logistics, transportation, freight, or industrial supply chain.
• Experience across domestic transport, export logistics, port operations, customs, trade compliance, shipping documentation, and logistics service provider management.
• Proven leadership experience managing large cross-functional logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the logistics strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee inbound/outbound logistics and ensure uninterrupted material flow.
• Lead negotiations with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to optimize costs.
• Oversee port and vessel operations, ensuring timely loading and dispatch.
• Establish logistics governance with KPI dashboards and end-to-end visibility.
