Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

About The Role

Food People is working with a semi-government entity in the UAE, looking to onboard a Group Head of FP&A in their HQ to develop a top-level strategy for managing corporate finances and reviewing team performance, assessing reports for new growth opportunities, and sharing insights, recommendations, risks, and rewards with the senior management teams

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluating the financial health of the company and providing financial analysis and reports on key performance indicators
• Lead the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting
• Creating internal reports to support the company's decision-making processes
• Identifying when and how the company can optimize assets and investments
• Collaborating with other departments/BUs to prepare accurate budgets
• Analysing historical data and conducting financial analysis
• Reporting on variance analysis and pipeline analysis
• Reviewing forecasts and budgets created by analysts and suggesting changes
• Working with BU finance heads to understand BU revenue and expenses over the 5-year business plan
• Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Key Ingredients

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, and a master's would be highly desirable
• Over 15 years of FP&A experience with an ACCA or relevant certifications
• Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally and globally, very often
• FMCG background is ideal, with expertise in food highly preferable
• Strong stakeholder management skills with prior experience in reporting to senior leadership and external stakeholders
• Arabic is a plus
