Job Description
Under the general direction of the Country Director of Finance and General Manager, and within the limits of established Rixos Hotel Policies and Procedures, the Finance Manager oversees and directs the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, maintaining the overall standards of efficiency and promoting a positive work environment.
The role involves organizing and monitoring all affairs related to finance, ensuring proper grooming at all times, attending scheduled training, and demonstrating cooperation and respect within the team and other departments. The Finance Manager should be knowledgeable about daily hotel activities and facilities.
Key responsibilities include preparing and controlling budgets, overseeing equipment purchases, maintaining monthly reconciliations with owners, reporting progress to regional offices, establishing professional relationships with owners, coordinating system setups with the IT department, ensuring compliance with management agreements, and managing cash flow and budgets.
The position requires supervising hotel accounting procedures, controlling expenses, supervising staff, managing inventories and fixed assets, minimizing overdue balances, ensuring timely tax and government reports, and preparing financial reports and documents for the company and owners.
Qualifications include a minimum of 10 years in finance and accounting leadership, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within hospitality. The candidate should have strong financial regulatory knowledge, strategic development skills, analytical abilities, excellent communication, proficiency in financial software, and a relevant bachelor's degree. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
