About Wynn Al Marjan Island

On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in early 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offers 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa. It is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Director of Event Sales to join the resort’s Hotel Sales team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Driving strategic sales alignment across Meetings & Events to oversee event and meeting business, ensuring coordination between sales and event services.
  • Booking and Prospecting: Securing new event business, maintaining client relationships, and representing the company at industry events to generate leads.
  • Developing and enforcing operational standards, policies, and customer service protocols.
  • Reviewing contracts and booking files for accuracy and profitability, supporting quality control, and collaborating with Revenue Management on business analysis.
  • Overseeing team performance, training, HR matters, and creating opportunities for employee growth.
  • Contributing to sales forecasting, business planning, and budget management.
  • Analyzing and implementing rate strategies to maximize ADR and occupancy.
  • Collaborating with marketing to promote events and increase sales.
  • Leading special projects and preparing business reviews, ensuring timely reporting.
  • Participating in leadership meetings and making executive decisions.
  • Managing wedding sales, including trend analysis, bookings, contracts, and payments.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Hospitality Management.
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience, with at least 5 years in hotel sales.
  • Proficiency in Delphi, MS Office, and hotel operating systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
