Director of Design & Technical Services MEA - Dubai Corporate Office

Join our dynamic corporate team at Aman Group as the Director of Design & Technical Services MEA based in Dubai. Aman Group, with offices worldwide including Zug, London, Dubai, Singapore, Bangkok, Miami, and New York, leads in ultra-luxury branding and innovation.

Role

The Director reports to the Global Head of Design & Technical Services, overseeing design development, construction, and project management within scheduled timelines and budgets. The role supports Aman’s standards and brand objectives, liaising with owners and managing project consultants to deliver top-tier hotels in urban and resort settings.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with owners, consultants, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to add value to projects.
• Manage multinational teams and stakeholders across multiple projects.
• Provide design direction and ensure adherence to Aman brand standards.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Develop schedules, review construction documents, and track project progress.
• Update the Global Head weekly on design and program delivery.
• Identify, address, and communicate project issues and resolutions.
• Support project feasibility stages and secure senior leadership approval.
• Lead procurement, quality control, and design reviews for furniture and key elements.

Requirements

• University degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including 3+ years in Technical Services within luxury hotel operations.
• Familiarity with luxury hotel and resort project delivery.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong work ethic, cultural sensitivity, and effective communication skills.
• Proven team management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
