Director of Conferences and Communication Department

The ECSSR Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates

The ECSSR is seeking a Director of Conferences and Communication Department to develop and execute plans for managing official events, ensuring logistical excellence, alignment with corporate identity, and optimal media coverage in coordination with relevant departments. The role involves overseeing interactions with external stakeholders and cultivating partnerships to support strategic goals.

Qualifications

Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, or similar major with 13 years of experience, including 6 years in supervisory roles.

- Master’s degree with 11 years of experience, including 4 years in supervisory roles.

- PhD with 8 years of experience.

Specialized-General Responsibilities

  • Prepare and evaluate cooperation agreements with local and international agencies, ensuring effective implementation.
  • Manage communication with external community, agencies, and companies to promote ECSSR’s activities.
  • Manage media relations, coordinate interviews and visual news reports with the Media Department, and build media relationships.
  • Supervise social media planning and develop annual marketing strategies for events.
  • Promote ECSSR’s activities and publications, including social media campaigns.
  • Plan, organize, and market conferences, seminars, and lectures.
  • Organize joint events with domestic and international academic institutions and think tanks.
  • Oversee website content across social media platforms.
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify development needs.
  • Perform other tasks within the scope of work as assigned.
