About the department

Aberdeen is a global investment company managing £506bn AUMA (as of 30 June 2024), serving clients in the Middle East & Africa from its Abu Dhabi regional office.

About the role

The Director of Business Development will maintain and expand aberdeen's presence in the Middle East & Africa, strengthening existing client relationships, developing new opportunities, and driving strategic initiatives for growth. The role involves managing client relationships in Kuwait and across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Develop understanding of aberdeen's investment products to engage clients and showcase capabilities.
  • Identify growth opportunities and drive initiatives aligned with regional and organizational goals.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, matching client needs with tailored propositions.
  • Develop long-term partnerships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage relationships with key clients to support growth and targeted outcomes.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement strategies for new growth opportunities.
  • Prepare business plans for Kuwait and proposals to maximize growth.

Candidate Requirements

  • Knowledge of Kuwait's investment landscape.
  • Experience in developing strategies for growth.
  • Ability to build long-term client partnerships.
  • Capability to provide accurate management reporting.
