The Opportunity:
We are seeking an exceptionally driven and seasoned Business Development Director with 10+ years of experience to spearhead our growth initiatives across the Middle East. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, a compelling communicator, and a natural networker with an in-depth understanding of the Middle East market and its unique business nuances. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Growth Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the agency's overall growth objectives, identifying key target sectors, brands, and opportunities across the Middle East.
- New Business Acquisition: Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to proposal development, presentation, negotiation, and closing high-value contracts with new clients.
- Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, meticulously tracking progress, forecasting revenue, and reporting on key performance indicators to senior leadership.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and nurture strong, long-term relationships with prospective clients, acting as a trusted advisor and understanding their unique business challenges and marketing needs.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within the social media and digital marketing space in the Middle East.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the agency's marketing, strategy, creative, and account management teams to develop tailored solutions and ensure seamless client onboarding and ongoing success.
- Thought Leadership: Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and networking functions, elevating our brand profile and generating new business leads.
- Revenue Targets: Consistently meet and exceed ambitious sales targets and contribute significantly to the agency's revenue growth.
- Mentorship: Potentially mentor and guide junior business development team members as the team expands.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of demonstrable experience in business development, sales, or a similar client-facing role within a digital marketing, social media, advertising, or related agency environment.
- Proven track record of success in consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets and securing significant new business wins (multi-million dollar contracts highly desirable).
- In-depth understanding of the social media landscape and digital marketing ecosystem, including platforms, trends, analytics, and best practices.
- Extensive network of contacts within the marketing, advertising, and business communities across the Middle East, particularly with decision-makers at leading brands.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and persuasively to C-suite executives and senior marketing professionals.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with the capacity to identify market opportunities and develop effective growth strategies.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
