Miral Experiences is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Director of AV & Engineering to lead and oversee the Show Technology function across our award-winning theme parks and attractions.

This strategic leadership role is responsible for the planning, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all Audio, Video, Lighting (AVL), and animatronics systems across multiple parks, ensuring seamless guest experiences, operational excellence, and safety compliance.

• Lead end-to-end operations of AVL systems across all attractions, shows, and ride experiences
• Implement and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance strategies
• Manage large-scale technical projects and ensure timely, quality delivery
• Collaborate on budgeting, vendor selection, and project cost control
• Drive team performance, development, and technical training
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and compliance standards

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / IT Engineering or related technical discipline
• 9+ years of experience in the AV industry, including 3+ years in a leadership / managerial role
• Proven expertise in show control, AVL systems, animatronics, and AV networking
• Experience within theme parks or large-scale entertainment environments is highly desirable
• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Knowledge of AVoIP technologies
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and networking for AV including VLANs, routing, (certification a plus)
• Knowledge of at least one Control System programming environment (Q-SYS Control, Medialon, Alcorn McBride, etc.) and one of Audio DSP platform (Q-SYS and Media Metrix preferred)
• Hands on troubleshooting & programming of animatronics is a must
• Able to adhere to strict timelines
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems
• Experience working at height and ability to lift at least 25 kg
