The Team

A&M is expanding rapidly in the Middle East and seeks a Director, Middle East People Lead based in Dubai. Reporting to the EMEA People Lead, this role involves advising senior leadership and leading regional people initiatives, including employee engagement, workforce planning, and compliance with labor laws. It is ideal for a strategic HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising senior leaders on all employee-related matters throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with global and regional teams to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Leading regional HR projects and initiatives.
  • Mentoring and developing regional HR teams.
  • Developing and enforcing regional HR policies and practices.
  • Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across the Middle East.
  • Supporting employee relations and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Overseeing HR operations, including Workday, payroll, and queries.
  • Driving process automation and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 in leadership roles managing multi-regional teams.
  • Experience in international, matrixed organizations within the Middle East, preferably in professional services.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Relevant HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) are a plus.
  • Proven success in global HR operations and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Middle Eastern labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in change management and organizational development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cultural sensitivity skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
