Job Description

The Director of Marketing & Communications will lead the development and execution of internal and external marketing and communication strategies to promote the organization’s brand, reputation, and key messages. He/she will build and sustain the company's reputation for quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. The Director will be responsible for developing all internal and external communication activities, ensuring message consistency and contributing to brand recognition.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role in the region.
  • Experience in the education sector is preferred.
  • Proven experience in creating targeted content is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.

Main Duties

  • Develop marketing and communication strategies, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels and stakeholders.
  • Implement strategic communication campaigns aligned with organizational goals and monitor their success; act as the primary corporate spokesperson, responding to media inquiries and issuing press releases.
  • Oversee media monitoring and reputation management initiatives.
  • Build relationships with relevant groups and the Executive Leadership Team to enhance their visibility and facilitate information sharing (thought leadership).

Specific Duties

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop the company's mission statement.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of the corporate website, ensuring content relevance and ease of navigation.
  • Provide timely internal communication to employees through various channels.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with media representatives.
  • Assist leadership in preparing presentations, speeches, and key messages.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team on graphics and content for reports and press releases.
  • Manage the communications budget.
  • Support other departments with their communication needs, including reviewing press releases and internal communications.
  • Develop policies to enhance department efficiency and promote a positive corporate brand.
  • Drive company-wide campaigns and internal initiatives to support enrollment and employee morale.
  • Oversee creation of communication materials ensuring brand consistency.
  • Write and deliver a monthly internal newsletter.
  • Represent the organization at events and press conferences.
  • Engage with influencers and media for story placements on national and global levels.
  • Create engaging content and oversee creative execution for impactful messaging.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders for strategic communication.
  • Develop engaging communication activities with relevant teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Promote an inclusive culture recognizing the unique aspects of the business.
  • Utilize multiple channels to maximize message reach.
  • Participate proactively in leadership meetings.
  • Manage communication regarding new programs and market entries.
  • Collaborate with Aldar Properties Communications team to leverage synergies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
