About the Job :

An opportunity has arisen for a Director - Handover and Defect Liability Projects to join Dubai Holding Real Estate . The main duties and responsibilities of this role :

• Review status reports prepared by DLP personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
• Prepare DLP reports for management.
• Communicate clearly and directly with employees concerning performance expectations, productivity, and accountability.
• Ensure that rectification works will be carried out within the contractual DLP time frame.
• Direct and control the operations of the DLP team.
• Interact with stakeholders like PM teams, contractors, consultants, customer service, NCM and customers.
• Recommend improvements in overall Handover and DLP Process.
• Co-ordinate with Customer Service, Malls & Hotels for smooth hand over of Malls, Hotels, residential units and common areas to the concerned entities.
• To ensure that procedures and processes for running the DLP are applied within each project capacity.
• Provide clearance to PMT for issuance of DLC to contractor upon completion of all defects rectifications works in the project.
• Ensure that contractors in each project has proper DLP plan and team capable of attending and rectifying defects.
• Allocate sufficient resources for each project to monitor and run the defects rectifications during DLP in each project and coordinate with the contractors.
• To follow up extended warranty issues for DHRE owned assets.

About you :

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Master preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years experience in the field of Construction / real estate.
• Competence experience and thorough knowledge of construction industry process.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Project management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders (internal and external).
• Meticulous attention to details and analytical skills.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
