Job Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Human Resources, the Director, Global Human Resources will support the Global team and act as a key point of contact for the HR teams on Resorts. Key responsibilities include working on our new opening resorts, including travel, planning, budgeting, knowledge of local laws, Colleague facilities, and HR resort support. The role involves extensive travel to resorts, often unplanned, so the ability to travel freely is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-opening planning, including housing requirements, budgeting payroll and HR expenses, and reconnaissance visits to locations.
  • Applying standards across all resorts for colleague facilities, including residence and dining.
  • Knowledge and application of local laws where resorts operate.
  • Conducting HR audits at properties annually with the VP, Global HR.
  • Engaging and managing global RSOs teams.
  • Driving and supporting global initiatives such as Balance and Resort Awards.
  • Assisting in Ethics Points investigations and portal administration.
  • Delivering the Global Human Resources Strategy to the Global Office and resorts.
  • Ensuring efficient onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Managing onboarding for senior leaders, GMs, and HRDs.
  • Facilitating exit interviews for Director and VP levels.
  • Leading onboarding presentations for new Resort HRDs.
  • Managing disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Participating in relevant projects at the office and resorts.
  • Analyzing HR reports and exit interview data.
  • Supporting HR tasks until Resort HRD hires are made, including sourcing and design tasks.
  • Collaborating with Talent Management on succession planning and internal candidate sourcing.
  • Supporting talent sourcing and interviews for resort HRDs.
  • Reviewing talent processes and performance reviews for Resort HRDs.
  • Supporting budget processes for Global HR and resorts.
  • Tracking disciplinary actions for audit and compliance.
  • Sharing monthly room rate reports with properties.
  • Leading HR projects and managing SuccessFactors modules such as Onboarding, Offboarding, and Employee Central.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Strong advanced Excel skills for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of luxury travel industry.
  • Passionate, personable, friendly, and dedicated.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet use.
  • Advanced administrative skills and possibly a second language.
  • International experience.
  • 2-3 years of property-based HR experience at a luxury level.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills.
