About The Role

This role involves working alongside the SVP - Finance to maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency across all responsibilities. You will support hotel operational finance matters, coordinate and implement finance functions during pre-opening and hotel openings, oversee financial operations, governance, and compliance, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. The role includes preparing presentations, financial models, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and supervising finance functions across properties.

The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present conclusions clearly and professionally to senior management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with obligations related to pre-opening and operating budgets under management agreements.
  • Review and analyze financial performance to identify key performance drivers.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Liaise with business units and accounting teams on financial matters.
  • Support operational teams with financial needs.
  • Prepare critical project timelines and monitor progress for pre-opening activities.
  • Assist with budgets and system implementation for new hotels.
  • Ensure legal and policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with department heads on budgets and operational improvements.
  • Identify process improvements for efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide performance insights.
  • Establish procedures for purchasing, capital expenditure, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Be proficient in hospitality PMS, POS, and accounting software systems.
  • Assist team members as needed.
  • Ensure accurate reflection of revenue and statistics in accounting systems.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and oversee cash flow projections.
  • Work closely with the General Manager on financial and operational matters.
  • Ensure timely delivery of financial reports and adherence to controls.
  • Manage costs while maintaining standards.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel accounting policies.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Commerce; MBA, CA, CPA, CIMA, CFA are a plus.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with accounting and POS systems (Opera/Fidelio preferred).
  • Knowledge of advanced IT systems like MS Macros, Networking, Servers, Hyperion.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably at a managerial level.
