Job Overview :

The Director of Fabrication Governance is responsible for overseeing operations, management, and business strategies. This role involves collaborating with senior functional leaders to set strategic goals and implement initiatives aligned with company objectives. The director addresses complex business challenges with broad industry, operational, and commercial insights to enhance financial and operational performance, influence stakeholders, and strengthen customer relationships.

Essential Qualifications and Education :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • At least 15 years of experience in resource industry project management and fabrication
  • Extensive experience in management, fabrication, engineering, estimating, project management, commercial proposals, project controls, HSES, QA/QC

Key Tasks and Responsibilities :

  1. Governance of processes and procedures to standardize fabrication performance across all customer interactions.
  2. Establishing annual standards and KPIs for fabrication and sustainability metrics, with coordinated reporting.
  3. Reviewing budgets and performance expectations, providing recommendations to senior management.
  4. Assessing fabrication results, estimates, and plans to ensure consistency and strategic optimization.
  5. Organizing the Fabrication Council and facilitating inter-facility communication for collaboration and best practices sharing.
  6. Identifying and implementing improvements in business processes, systems, and organizational structures.
  7. Managing global fabrication capacity, workload, project allocation, and prioritization.
  8. Developing short- and long-term plans for fabrication facilities, including strategy reviews, capital expenditures, and operational upgrades.
  9. Providing leadership on HSE&S, quality, and compliance issues.
  10. Participating in the training, development, and mentorship of key personnel.
