About the job

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior technology leader to join our MENA team and play a key role within the Energy & Commodities practice. The successful candidate will advise C-level clients and lead enterprise-scale engineering transformations to deliver top-tier digital technology solutions.

Your main responsibilities include designing, shaping, and delivering enterprise solutions that transform Energy and Commodities clients into innovative, customer-centric, and digitally driven businesses. You will lead technical design, planning, and delivery, promote best practices, and support the growth of Publicis Sapient’s technology teams. Additionally, you will collaborate with global leadership to develop a long-term vision for digital and mobile solutions in the Energy & Commodities sector, inspiring future technological advancements within the company and for clients.

Responsibilities

Industry Experience / Expertise

• Extensive experience in the energy & commodities trading domain, including physical and financial trading environments.
• Knowledge of energy upstream and downstream functions such as Power Generation, Renewables, Transmission, and Distribution.
• Proven ability to collaborate across organizations to secure deals and demonstrate subject matter expertise.
• Capability to assess current technological capabilities and develop strategic, value-driven roadmaps.
• Thought leadership through blogs, industry PoVs, participation in forums, and mentoring.
• Specialist knowledge in energy & commodities trading solutions is advantageous but not mandatory.

Technology Expertise

• Significant experience in leading architecture, design, and deployment of modern data and cloud solutions.
• Proficiency in creating large-scale architectures, cost estimation, and managing dependencies.
• Skill in conducting client workshops to understand current states, identify opportunities, and build consensus.
• Experience in designing and implementing complex IT solutions.
• Understanding of build vs. buy strategies, performance, hosting, BI, and analytics; familiarity with AI and machine learning is a plus.

Delivery Experience

• History of leading engineering teams of 20+ members, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to guide clients and teams through the entire transformation process, from conception to delivery.

Consultative Expertise

• Experience advising senior stakeholders, including C-level executives, with adaptable communication skills.
• Ability to influence decision-making in large organizations through expertise and confidence.

Qualifications
