As we accelerate our growth, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director – Data Sales with a strong background in Voice Bot sales to lead our sales initiatives for our cutting-edge conversational AI products.
Role Overview :
As the Director – Data Sales (Voice Bot & Conversational AI) , you will be responsible for strategizing and driving the revenue growth of our data-driven solutions with a focus on our proprietary voice bot product, Bhaasa. You will manage and expand existing client relationships while spearheading new business opportunities across the region. Working closely with product, marketing, and technical teams, you will ensure our offerings meet the evolving needs of customers and achieve the targeted growth milestones.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that drive revenue growth for our data solutions—with a special emphasis on voice bot capabilities.
- Own the business P&L for the data sales unit, ensuring alignment with the annual operating plan (AOP) target.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to refine our sales strategy, positioning Bhaasa as the premier conversational AI solution.
Client & Key Account Management
- Build, nurture, and expand professional relationships with key clients across banks and financial institutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders (including CXOs), consistently delivering exceptional service and strategic account growth.
- Identify and capitalise on cross-sell and upsell opportunities, integrating voice bot solutions into broader data product offerings to address diverse client needs.
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Lead targeted business development initiatives to acquire new clients in the voice bot and data solution space.
- Proactively prospect and engage potential customers to build a robust sales pipeline, guiding opportunities from initial engagement to contract negotiation and closure.
- Represent Yubi at industry events, conferences, and key client meetings, expanding brand presence and establishing thought leadership.
- Mentor and manage a high-performing sales team, setting clear sales goals, KPIs, and performance expectations.
- Collaborate closely with product and marketing teams to deliver tailored sales presentations and proposals that highlight the strategic advantages of our conversational AI solutions.
- Act as a strategic adviser and in-house thought leader for the voice bot and conversational AI vertical, providing market insights that drive product enhancements.
Reporting & Forecasting
- Track and report on sales performance against targets, preparing detailed forecasts and actionable sales reports for senior leadership.
- Ensure timely and precise reporting of all sales activities, revenue milestones, and pipeline progress to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data sales, business development, or a related role, with a significant focus on voice bot or conversational AI solutions.
- Proven track record of working with and achieving sales targets in companies that specialise in voice bot technologies (experience from blue-chip companies such as Genesys, Avaya, Cisco, or similar industry leaders is a must).
- Strong technical and product knowledge in data solutions, software, databases, and SaaS platforms, particularly with a demonstrated background in voice bot sales.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales collaboration tools to streamline processes and manage customer relations effectively.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a robust ability to engage senior-level stakeholders and explain complex technical concepts in a clear, persuasive manner.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the capacity to manage sophisticated sales cycles in dynamic, evolving markets.
