Description

Responsible for marketing the portfolio of technologies worldwide, identifying and obtaining new business for CLG and their related technologies, other technologies within the Lummus portfolio, developing long-term customer relationships, maintenance of alliances and partnerships, and promoting our products and services.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify and develop new business opportunities including proactive involvement in the sales/pricing strategy and leading the business risk analysis.
  2. Serve as the commercial liaison between the Technology operating groups and the prospective client, maintaining consistent contact with these key client representatives.
  3. Develop and negotiate licensing and engineering agreements.
  4. Work internally across the functions of the organization to develop and gain approval for the negotiated position.
  5. Ensure awarded projects are on-track including following project management activities and ensuring licensee payments are made per contract.
  6. Carry out sales forecasting, gather competitive intelligence, and provide market feedback and technology requirements to technology managers.
  7. Establish strong relationships with regional sales representatives and other business groups.
  8. In consultation with other team members, decide on the sales strategy for individual proposals and assure adequate staffing of the proposal effort is in place.
  9. Assist in developing/implementing growth strategies for the business group.
  10. Implement marketing plan for innovative sales approach.
  11. Coordinate proposal risk analysis and present overall Risk Review to management.
  12. Prepare commercial offers and give client presentations for technology sales.
  13. Closely review contract terms and conditions and coordinate reviews with the legal and financial department.
  14. Negotiate basic engineering package and license agreements.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  1. Minimum of a BSChE; MBA is a plus.
  2. Extensive experience in process design and/or general technology and marketing/licensing sales in an international environment.
  3. Strong background in technology licensing.
  4. Excellent communicator with strong written and oral communication skills.
  5. Commercially savvy with sales/business development and contract negotiation experience.
  6. High degree of self-motivation and energy; able to earn the respect of the team.
  7. Capability of influencing others and earning respect within the team.
  8. Excellent professional image and presentation skills.
  9. Strong knowledge of various cultures and international styles.
  10. Strong commercial savvy and negotiating skills.
  11. Capable of driving the technology by being sensitive to the marketplace.
  12. Strong balance of highly technical and commercial capabilities.
  13. Ability to evaluate and prioritize new business opportunities based on timing, project reality, and intrinsic value to the company.
  14. Strong understanding of profitability potential of project opportunities.
