Job summary

Nightingale Education Group is seeking a Finance/Bursar Operations leader to oversee all student financial services, billing, and receivables functions in Dubai. You will supervise financial aid processing, refunds, and ensure compliance with regulations while reconciling accounts to the general ledger.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field, 4+ years in accounting/bursar operations, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field is required.
• Minimum 4+ years of accounting or bursar operations experience.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations and university policies.
• Budget preparation and fiscal management skills.
• Solid grounding in cashiering, cash management, and accounts receivable principles.
• Ability to design and administer complex recordkeeping systems.
• Familiarity with financial software for reporting and projections.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operations of learner financial services, billing, receivables, and cashiering functions.
• Supervise application of financial aid to college charges and release refunds in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accuracy of charges, credits, payments, and refunds; reconcile AR to GL.
• Coordinate reconciliations for direct loan records, cash payments, and institutional loans.
• Oversee daily refunding of credit balances and direct deposit recordkeeping.
• Administer the SIS system to ensure accurate processing of revenue and fees.
• Provide periodic reports on receipts and technical information to college community and external agencies.
• Recommend and shape college financial policies and procedures.
• Partner with internal and external auditors to provide access to accounting records.
• Set organizational goals and strategic plans for the Bursar's Office.
• Build, staff, and supervise an effective team structure.
• Develop and manage the department's annual budget.
