Job summary

Aldar Education in Abu Dhabi Emirate is seeking a School Finance Officer - Accounts and Budgeting to manage invoicing, receivables, budgeting, bank reconciliations, petty cash, MIS reporting, and month-end support.

You will collaborate with the Principal, school teams, treasury staff, and HQ finance to ensure tuition and revenues are recorded accurately, balances are followed up, and financial information supports decision-making.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Experience with invoicing, receipting, accounts receivable, and collections.
• Strong understanding of bank reconciliation and GL processes.
• Experience supporting month-end closing and revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable GL accounts and follow up balances.
• Prepare and issue invoices for tuition, charges, and activities.
• Ensure invoicing aligns with timelines.
• Contact parents to follow up on outstanding payments.
• Issue receipts and ensure records are complete.
• Provide bank statement info to Treasury for clearing.
• Support daily/monthly bank reconciliation.
• Manage petty cash per policy and approvals.
• Review revenue recognition before monthly close.
• Identify billing/discrepancies and coordinate fixes.
• Assist Principal with budgeting and MIS reporting.
• Coordinate with HQ finance on budgets and plans.
• Support monthly period closing activities.
• Provide schedules and explanations within deadlines.
• Review MIS reports with Principal and flag concerns.
