Role : Digital Solution Senior Architect
Role Purpose :
- Through an understanding of ADIB business needs and the range of technical solutions available, a Digital Solutions Architect delivers a suite of services, products, solutions, and technologies that will provide ADIB with best-practice application architectures.
- With an enterprise-wide focus, you will assess, design, and implement IT systems architecture to support ADIB's business strategy.
- Collaborative leadership skills and a strong technical background are critical, as is the ability to provide thought leadership to business stakeholders, the broader technology team, and a community of citizen architects.
- Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to provide technical direction and solutions for a range of digital products.
- Manage and lead the design and development of complex strategic solutions architecture, including delivery partners.
- Bring a product mindset and technical leadership in producing technical solution designs, high-quality functional specifications, and other technical documentation to ensure excellent customer experiences.
- Be a key contributor to the Technology team and ensure strong partnerships across functions (Engineering, Delivery, Infrastructure, Support, Operations).
- Be accountable for broader solution architecture and integration of ADIB's internal and vendor-based IT solutions, working with colleagues from across the business.
- Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure systems align with architectural strategy and principles related to software integrity and reusability.
- Adhere to ADIB's processes, methodologies, standards, and policies related to IT enterprise architecture from a governance perspective.
- Demonstrate openness, trustworthiness, originality, and set an example.
Key Accountabilities of the role :
Innovative products and Solution Design
- Deliver a suite of services, products, solutions, and technologies that provide ADIB with best-practice application architectures.
- Understand requirements from business users and translate them into architecture decisions, communicating effectively with the development team.
- Follow mandatory and obligatory standards set by management in delivering services.
- Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to provide technical direction and solutions for digital products.
- Be responsible for the broader solution architecture and integration of ADIB's internal and vendor-based IT solutions.
- Participate actively in team meetings and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
- Respond promptly to emails and tasks, ensuring effective follow-up.
Documentation / Process Ownership
- Take ownership of, maintain, and update documented processes or documentation related to the job function.
- Collaborate professionally with team members, maintain good attendance, and follow reporting hierarchies.
- Adhere to working hours, which may include extended hours depending on tasks.
Information Security
- Maintain information security related to ADIB during employment.
- Report potential or actual security risks or incidents promptly.
- Maintain a risk-free IT environment at ADIB.
Technical Skills / Knowledge Required :
- Experience in digital delivery environments such as mobile, web, social media, USSD, SMS, and Payment Gateways.
- Experience in delivering integrated, multi-channel solutions.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture, SOA, microservices, and integration methodologies, especially in financial services or capital markets.
- Experience with legacy technology environments and their architecture requirements.
- Experience in developing API-based and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience leading architecture in large-scale, data-centric businesses, especially relating to data tools and productization.
- Experience in mission-critical, high-volume transaction environments.
- Experience with transactional RDBMS and high-capacity data warehouses.
- Familiarity with full SDLC using traditional and agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of technologies such as Java, C#, VB, .NET, middleware, ETL, APIs, Content Management Systems (AEM), and Salesforce.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred.
