KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Consulting & Business Analysis: Collect comprehensive data & insights from healthcare stakeholders to understand the business requirements, vision, and needs. Collaborate with teams to ensure a clear understanding of needs and map these to technical solutions. Validate that the proposed solution aligns with both global & local best practices, meets industry standards, delivers maximum impact, and mitigates risks effectively. Design the digital health solution, including strategy formulation, roadmap development, and blueprint creation tailored to the client's requirements. Prepare and deliver clear, compelling proposals to stakeholders, presenting the solution, product, or platform independently. Ensure alignment with stakeholders' objectives, gather feedback, and incorporate input to optimize the offering. Finalize the proposal, handle documentation, and maintain the source of truth for initiative details.
- Communication with Technology Team: Act as a liaison between healthcare stakeholders/business owners and the technology team, ensuring clear communication. Support in drafting the scope of work (SOW) referencing the conceptualized proposal with functional requirements, deliverables, timeline, acceptance criteria, assumptions, dependencies, and other relevant technical details. Update stakeholders on concerns or technical highlights to set clear expectations. Simplify and clarify technical concepts, roadmaps, and priorities for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with clinical teams to validate clinical practices, data standards, and workflows, ensuring clinical requirements are addressed comprehensively. Keep all technical teams informed and aligned with organizational commitments, including deadlines, milestones, and potential growth based on the roadmap.
- Functional Oversight for Implementation & Integration: Oversee development progress, ensuring functionalities align with the designed solutions. Assist project managers, delivery leads, and technical teams to ensure proper execution. Regularly update stakeholders, address concerns, showcase value, and highlight progress. Support delivery reviews and act as a trusted advisor to ensure the success of digital health initiatives. Collaborate with legal, compliance, information security, and quality assurance teams to meet standards. Ensure all deliverables meet acceptance criteria.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments related to ideation, conceptualization, and implementation, independently or with cross-functional teams. Communicate potential risks to executives and relevant teams. Work proactively to address risks early, preventing delays or compliance issues.
- Research & Innovation: Stay updated on global healthcare trends, emerging technologies, and new digital health solutions. Use industry benchmarks to compare organizational assets with top-performing solutions, considering functionality, user experience, scalability, and continuous improvement. Raise awareness of innovations that can enhance services, products, and platforms. Analyze health data to provide actionable insights. Draft white papers to showcase thought leadership. Collaborate with external partners and represent the organization at events. Develop training materials and act as a subject matter expert for digital health solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Relevant medical degree (e.g., MD, Dental, Nursing, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare practice or research experience.
- Over 10 years of experience in digital health programs.
- Advanced qualifications in health informatics, interoperability, healthcare management, or public health are preferred.
- Experience with leading consulting firms is preferred.
- Proven success in designing and managing large-scale health technology programs and solutions.
- Strong relationship-building skills with healthcare stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments, understanding diverse healthcare perspectives.
- Deep knowledge of healthcare systems, digital platforms, and interoperability standards.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA) and compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving and adaptability skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
- Willingness to work from Abu Dhabi and travel up to 20% for related duties.
