Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Technical Service Specialist for our UAE Core Labs division in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on installing, maintaining and troubleshooting ADD instruments, ensuring high customer satisfaction within a defined territory and coordinating with the Service Manager on projects.

Ideal candidates have extensive Abbott instruments experience, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and a solid background in diagnostics, electronics, mechanics and chemistry.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of related field experience; Abbott instruments experience preferred.
• Experience in troubleshooting and customer relations.
• Knowledge of diagnostics market, electronics, mechanical and chemical knowledge.
• Strong communication, coaching and training skills.
• Experience with analytical tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot ADD instruments.
• Achieve service targets and ensure customer satisfaction within the territory.
• Perform emergency repair and preventative maintenance at customer sites; coordinate with service manager.
• Prepare documentation for each service call and discuss instrument parts/software with customers.
• Promote and renew service agreements; provide technical guidance to colleagues.
