Overview of the role

We seek an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join our Toyota team in Ajman. The technician will identify vehicle issues using diagnostic equipment and special service tools, perform maintenance and repairs, and ensure adherence to the "Fix it Right" process to prevent repeat repairs.

What you will do

• Perform routine maintenance and general mechanical repairs on vehicles.
• Utilize manual skills for technical and mechanical tasks.
• Assist the Technical Advisor in capturing data for Repair Support Requests and technical reports for escalations.
• Be willing to learn through hands-on training.

Required skills to be successful

• 2 to 3 years of experience as a Diagnostic Technician in a large automotive dealership, performing diagnosis and repairs.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and special service tools to inspect engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, A/C, electrical, and hybrid systems.
• Ability to perform basic diagnosis, unit repairs, A/C parts replacement, and mechanical repairs.

About the team

The role reports to the Workshop Manager and involves working in a busy workshop environment, interacting daily with Service Advisors, Controllers, Foremen, and co-technicians.

What equips you for the role

• Diploma in Technical Certification, ITI (Industrial Training Institute NCVT Certificate), or ITC.
• 2 to 3 years of experience as a Diagnostic Technician.
• Valid UAE driving license is an added advantage.
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data accurately in job records.
• Understanding and adherence to protocols, including AFM Toyota After Sales requirements.
• Proficiency in English.
