The position will be responsible for and assist with a wide range of areas in product development work, including, but not limited to:

• New product development, optimisation, and performance evaluation.
• Alternative raw materials identification, testing and evaluation.
• Competitor product testing, evaluation and reporting.
• Innovation of applications and areas of use of existing products.
• Commercial scale product adaptation and review.
• Work with QA/QC teams to maintain production batches quality consistency.
• Colour range development and coordination.

Required Characteristics

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Paint Technology / Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in construction chemicals and / or surface coatings.
• Hands-on experience in operating testing equipment for paints, coatings, and construction chemicals.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, presentable, dynamic.
• Strong problem-solving capability and proven ability to take initiative.
• Written and spoken English fluency required. Additional languages give an added advantage.
• Proficiency with MS Office required.
