Job summary

Apparel Group in Dubai is seeking a fashion designer to create and visualize concepts using CAD, while staying on top of current trends in fabrics, colours and silhouettes.

You will plan and develop ranges, collaborate with buyers and forecasters to meet briefs, and liaise with buying and planning teams to ensure the product suits customers, markets and price points. Technical design understanding and a proactive multitasker mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Create or visualize designs using computer-aided design (CAD).
• Stay up to date with fashion trends, fabrics, colours and shapes.
• Plan and develop ranges.
• Collaborate with buyers and forecasters to meet briefs.
• Liaise with buying and planning teams to ensure customer, market and price suitability.
• Understand design from a technical perspective.

• Creating or visualizing an idea and producing a design using computer-aided design (CAD).
• Well versed in latest designing software (Illustrator, Photoshop etc.).
• Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes.
• Planning and developing ranges.
• Working with buyers and forecasters, to develop products to meet a brief.
• Liaising closely with buying and planning teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points.
• Understanding design from a technical perspective.
• Readiness to multitask and should have a proactive approach.
