Job summary

Fortes Education's Sunmarke School in Dubai seeks a Design & Technology Technician (Resistant Materials) to support practical learning in the D&T department. You will prepare workshops, materials, and machinery for lessons and assist staff and students with projects.

You will promote safe workshop practices, maintain equipment, and help with CAD/CAM files, laser cutting, CNC routing, and 3D printing. A proactive, organised individual with strong teamwork is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a Design & Technology workshop or technical support role.
• Good knowledge of workshop tools, machinery, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workshops, machinery, tools, materials and resources for lessons.
• Prepare materials for student projects and set out equipment for lessons.
• Support teachers and students during practical lessons and demonstrations.
• Reinforce safe working practices and workshop procedures.
• Maintain inventories and liaise with external contractors for repairs.
