Design Manager (Interiors)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Interior Design Manager to join our team in Dubai. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of managing F&B projects at site, from concept to completion, with a strong focus on quality and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and coordination skills, as they will be working closely with high-profile Project Management (PM) companies and internal design teams. Regular travel to KSA and occasional travel to neighbouring countries is a requirement.

Responsibilities:

1. Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for high-profile PM companies, understanding their needs and ensuring project deliverables meet their expectations. This requires a high level of professionalism and strong PM skills.
2. Travel: Regular travel to KSA (approximately twice a month) for site meetings is essential. Occasional travel to neighbouring countries may also be required.
3. Site Supervision: Conduct site visits and workshops in the UAE as needed to oversee production quality and ensure adherence to design specifications.
4. Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between third-party contractors, suppliers, and our internal design team. This includes managing expectations and resolving any conflicts that may arise.
5. Supplier Management: Identify and source required technical suppliers, ensuring they meet project requirements in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
6. Technical Review: Critically review shop drawings and design packages to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
7. Quality Control: Maintain a strong focus on quality throughout the design process, from concept development to final installation.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Proven experience as a Design Manager for F&B and Retail projects.
2. Strong understanding of design principles, construction methodologies, and relevant industry standards.
3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
4. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
5. Experience working with high-profile clients and PM companies.
6. Proficiency in reviewing shop drawings and design packages.
7. Ability to identify and source reliable technical suppliers.
8. Willingness to travel regularly to KSA and occasionally to neighbouring countries.
9. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
