Overview

The Design Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing the design process across all stages of a project acting as the bridge between the client, consultants, and internal teams. The Design Manager shall also ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and timely design solutions that meet client objectives and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design Leadership & Management: Lead multidisciplinary design teams (architectural, structural, MEP, interiors, etc.) through all project stages; ensure design outputs align with project briefs, budgets, and schedules.
• Project & Process Management: Conduct regular design reviews and manage the approval process with stakeholders; identify, track, and mitigate design-related risks and changes.
• Quality & Technical Oversight: Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and client requirements; oversee value engineering exercises to optimize design solutions; review drawings, specifications, and reports to maintain quality and consistency.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for the client on design-related matters; manage client expectations, approvals, and design presentations; mentor and support the professional growth of junior designers.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in design management, with consultancy background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary coordination, building codes, and approval processes.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects from concept to handover.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in design and project management tools (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, etc.).
