Job Description
- Responsibilities and accountability for design and technical detailing across all design stages through IFC delivery within allocated timeline as per contract.
- Working knowledge of Revit, BIM360, Sketchup, Microsoft Office, and Adobe InDesign.
- Carry out design and constructability assessment, technical and QA/QC reviews.
- Deal with local authorities having jurisdiction over regulatory compliance aspects.
- Prepare and review design reports and update project specifications as necessary.
- Identify multi-disciplinary scope gaps and inform the project director / commercial team.
- Assist the Project Director in preparing and finalizing the Design Management Plan and Project Execution Plan.
- Prepare or assist in preparing internal monthly progress reports.
- Arrange and lead internal coordination meetings.
- Assist in managing internal resources based on project budget.
- Identify and assist in managing design-associated risks, mitigation strategies, and escalation.
- Manage stakeholders’ approvals of the design and samples based on contract deliverables.
- Ensure design management is consistent across project components and phases based on U+A design principles and ethos.
- Provide technical support for the commercial team including attending contract meetings by presenting project dashboard and seeking advice as necessary by Project Directors / Directors.
- Manage the design process efficiently using change requests, risks, and design to budget to protect the interests of stakeholders involved.
- Ensure the design process is aligned with current legislation, international standards, and codes of practice.
- Liaise with statutory authorities and other relevant third parties.
- Manage internal and external tendering processes based on procurement strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Architecture or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
Working knowledge of Revit, BIM360, Sketchup, Microsoft Office, and Adobe InDesign.
