Design Expert - Product and AI Prototyping in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates is a Design contractor opportunity for senior professionals experienced in product design, UX/UI, design systems, rapid prototyping, and AI-assisted development. YO IT Consulting is hiring experts to create realistic evaluation scenarios across design and vibecoding workflows, develop reference prototypes and design artifacts, and define rigorous assessment standards that distinguish senior-level product judgment from generic output.

Role Context

The Design Expert will contribute to the development of advanced evaluation tasks for AI systems operating across product design, rapid prototyping, and human-AI collaboration. Depending on expertise, contributors may focus on Design, Vibecoding, or both tracks. The work requires practical product judgment rather than theoretical knowledge alone. Experts will create scenarios that reflect real design and engineering collaboration, prototype workflows, usability considerations, component systems, and AI-assisted coding practices. Their work will help evaluate whether AI-generated outputs demonstrate credible product thinking, technical execution, and user-centered design decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• * Create realistic product design and rapid prototyping scenarios based on professional product development workflows.


• * Develop Design-track tasks involving UX/UI, design systems, component libraries, user research, and usability testing.


• * Build Vibecoding scenarios involving natural-language-to-code workflows and AI-assisted software development.


• * Use tools such as Figma, Framer, Cursor, Claude Code, v0, Replit, and related prototyping platforms where appropriate.


• * Develop reference prototypes, interface specifications, code artifacts, design documentation, and usability reports.


• * Create evaluation tasks that require iteration, trade-off analysis, and collaboration between product, design, and engineering disciplines.


• * Apply human-centered design methods when defining user problems, interaction patterns, and product requirements.


• * Incorporate heuristic evaluation and usability principles into design assessment scenarios.


• * Produce rapid prototypes that demonstrate intended interaction models and product behavior.


• * Create and validate design-system tasks involving reusable components, states, variants, tokens, and interface consistency.


• * Evaluate AI-generated interfaces for usability, information hierarchy, interaction quality, accessibility, and product coherence.


• * Develop detailed scoring rubrics that distinguish thoughtful senior-level decisions from superficial or template-based work.


• * Assess AI-assisted coding outputs for product suitability, maintainability, functionality, and alignment with stated requirements.


• * Document design decisions, assumptions, constraints, and evaluation reasoning clearly.


• * Collaborate with project teams to refine tasks, improve scoring standards, and increase evaluation realism.

Ideal Profile

Ideal Profile Candidates should ideally bring at least five years of experience in product design, UX/UI, design leadership, AI-assisted development, or an equivalent product-focused discipline. Formal qualifications are not required. Demonstrated expertise, shipped products, completed design systems, or proven AI-assisted development workflows are more important. The role is suited to product designers, design leads, AI-native engineers, or vibecoders who have owned meaningful portions of shipped digital products and can explain the reasoning behind their decisions. Strong fluency with Figma, Framer, prototyping environments, or AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, v0, and Replit is highly valuable. A portfolio containing shipped work is strongly preferred. Experience developing design critiques, training materials, evaluation frameworks, or scoring rubrics would provide an additional advantage. Candidates should be comfortable working independently under a flexible remote schedule while producing high-quality evaluation content that reflects genuine professional practice.
