Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed fire protection system designs, including layouts and hydraulic calculations for sprinklers, alarms, and hydrants.
• Interpret client requirements and codes to develop compliant, cost-effective fire protection solutions.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, architects and contractors to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
• Prepare technical documentation, design reports, datasheets, BOMs, and authority submissions.
• Support project managers during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Conduct design reviews and site visits to verify installation quality and design intent.
• Stay updated on NFPA, BS, EN, and other relevant standards to drive improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities – Fire Protection Design, System Engineering

• Produce detailed fire protection system designs, including layout drawings, specifications, and hydraulic calculations for sprinklers, alarms, suppression systems, and hydrants.
• Interpret client requirements, building codes, and relevant fire safety standards to develop compliant, cost-effective, and robust fire protection solutions.
• Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, architects, and contractors throughout the design and project lifecycle to ensure alignment, technical accuracy, and timely delivery.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including design reports, datasheets, bill of materials, and compliance submissions for authority approvals.
• Support project managers and installation teams by providing engineering input during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Conduct technical reviews, design risk assessments, and site visits to resolve technical queries and verify installation quality as per design intent.
• Stay up to date with the latest codes, standards (e.g., NFPA, BS, EN), and technological advancements in fire protection systems to champion continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Skills – Fire Protection Design, Engineering Software, and Team Collaboration

• Proven experience in fire protection system design, including the use of AutoCAD, Revit, or similar engineering design software.
• Strong knowledge of relevant fire safety codes, standards, and regulations (NFPA, British Standards, local codes, etc.).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to technical detail and design accuracy.
