Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our team, where you will play a key role in creating innovative fire suppression systems for global clients, with a special focus on renewable energy projects. You will collaborate with a dynamic team, leading technical design efforts and delivering high-impact solutions. If you have a background in automation, electrical, structural, mechanical, piping, or technical safety engineering, and excel in teamwork and leadership, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

1. Design and develop innovative solutions that meet client requirements, adhere to industry standards, and comply with regulations, ensuring functionality and safety.
2. Define project scope, objectives, and timelines; create and review technical drawings such as P&IDs, GA drawings, as-built documentation, and production drawings.
3. Assess costs and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
4. Prepare clear and detailed technical documentation including design specifications, reports, and manuals.
5. Contribute to design reviews, providing input, identifying issues, and suggesting improvements.
6. Oversee the translation of designs into production, ensuring standards and quality benchmarks are met.
7. Maintain and track project material lists, ensuring timely sourcing and resource availability.
8. Collaborate with the Project Manager, providing updates on material usage, timelines, and project progress.
9. Identify risks proactively and resolve issues to prevent impact on deadlines or budgets.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
3. Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, or 3DS.
4. Expertise in fire safety, structural engineering, piping, mechanical, automation, electrical, or technical safety.
5. Strong understanding of local and international codes, including the UAE Fire Code, NFPA, IP, and others.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in business English.
