Design Coordinator

Babyshop is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Design Coordinator to support our Retail Store Design Team. In this position, Design Coordinator will play a key part in coordinating the design and rollout of store environments that reflect our brand, enhance customer experience, and support operational needs. Working closely with designers, architects, vendors, and cross-functional teams to help bring new retail spaces and renovations to life—on time and on brand.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development & Visualization

• Assist in the preparation of floor plans, elevations, fixture layouts, and visual presentations.
• Create 3D models and renderings to communicate design intent and spatial planning effectively.
• Ensure all designs align with brand standards, operational requirements, and execution feasibility.

Project Coordination

• Support multiple design projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and milestones are met.
• Organize and manage project documentation, including design briefs, plans, specifications, and status reports.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Liaise with internal departments such as Retail, Buying, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing to ensure design alignment across all initiatives.
• Coordinate with external vendors, architects, and consultants to manage samples, quotes, and technical documentation.

Quality & Brand Assurance

• Support the review process for design documentation, shop drawings, and prototypes to ensure adherence to design standards and project goals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, trends, and innovations relevant to retail environments.

Rollouts & Implementation

• Contribute to the execution of store openings, remodels, and special retail projects, assisting in the communication and implementation of design intent across all stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture / Interior Design
• Proficiency in design and documentation software including: AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
• Strong skills in 3D modelling and rendering tools (SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Lumion & V-Ray) are essential
• 1–3 years of experience in a design coordination or project support role within the retail, commercial, or hospitality sectors
• 1 year of work experience in architectural design and execution of Retail site development projects
• Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and design accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Architectural Layout Development.
