Job description

Department: Engineering/Design - POD

Reports To: Division Manager - POD

Objective:

Develop detailed design and drafting solutions for prefabricated buildings and modular structures, ensuring precision, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Drafting:
   • Create 2D/3D designs, shop drawings, and part specifications for prefabricated components using CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
   • Ensure designs align with building codes, industry standards, and project requirements.
2. Project Coordination:
   • Collaborate with the Division Manager and cross-functional teams to meet project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
   • Revise designs based on feedback to ensure constructability and efficiency.
3. Technical Support:
   • Assist manufacturing and construction teams during fabrication and installation phases.
   • Resolve design challenges and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
4. Documentation & Quality Control:
   • Maintain organized records of designs, revisions, and updates.
   • Ensure all drawings meet quality standards and best practices.
5. Continuous Improvement:
   • Identify and implement enhancements to the design process to optimize quality and reduce costs.
