Job Description:

Deputy Interface Manager

Sharjah, UAE

Parsons Middle East is a leading infrastructure and engineering firm known for delivering innovative solutions and high-quality projects across the region.

The Deputy Interface Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all interfaces between various stakeholders, contractors, and project teams involved in the development and expansion projects at Sharjah Airport. The role ensures seamless integration of different project components, timely resolution of interface issues, and effective communication among all parties. The role may require occasional travel and extended working hours to meet project deadlines.

What You’ll Be Doing

Interface Coordination

  • Develop and implement an interface management plan.

  • Identify and document all interface points between different project components and stakeholders.

  • Facilitate regular interface meetings to ensure alignment and coordination.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all interface-related issues.

  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including airport authorities, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.

  • Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of project progress and any interface-related changes.

Issue Resolution

  • Identify potential interface issues and conflicts early in the project lifecycle.

  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate and resolve interface issues.

  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior management as necessary.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all interface points, meetings, and decisions.

  • Prepare regular interface management reports for senior management and stakeholders.

  • Ensure all interface documentation is up-to-date and accessible.

Compliance and Standards

  • Ensure all interface activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.

  • Promote a culture of safety and quality in all interface management activities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in interface management.

  • Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Aviation or Project Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a focus on interface management in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the aviation sector.

  • Strong understanding of airport operations and regulatory requirements.

  • PMP or similar project management certification.

  • Previous experience working in the Middle East region.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts effectively.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Ability to communicate in Arabic is a plus.
