Job Summary

The Deputy Compliance Director – iGaming will lead the operational implementation of Momentum Group’s (Momentum”) iGaming compliance function. The Deputy Compliance Director – iGaming will assist in developing a strong Compliance culture throughout Momentum through the operational implementation of the Regulatory Compliance framework within the iGaming function. This role involves the provision of advice, support, guidance, training, oversight and monitoring of all regulated compliance activities within the iGaming function.

Responsibilities

The Deputy Compliance Director - iGaming will report to Momentum’s Compliance Director – iGaming and Payments. Responsibilities include :

Compliance Leadership :

• Assess compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing gaming operations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update compliance policies and procedures accordingly.
• Act as the point of contact with regulatory authorities, ensuring timely and accurate communication and reporting.
• Develop compliance policies and procedures for gaming operations.
• Ensure policies and procedures are effectively communicated and implemented across the organization.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates of compliance policies and procedures to ensure they remain current and relevant.
• Prepare for and manage internal and external audits, providing all necessary documentation and information.
• Implement audit recommendations and monitor compliance with audit findings.
• Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks related to gaming operations.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize regulatory and operational risks.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to enhance risk management practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Provide training and guidance on regulatory compliance to employees involved in gaming operations, promoting a culture of compliance.
• Provide ongoing support and advice to management and employees on compliance related matters.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to compliance, providing regular updates and actionable insights.
• Lead and manage the iGaming regulatory compliance team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in regulatory reporting and documentation.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and highly proficient in English.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance or a related role, preferably within the lottery, gaming / sportsbook, or financial services sectors.

Ideally a degree in Business, Risk Management, Law or other relevant field.
