Job summary

Confidential in Dubai seeks a Deputy Chief Procurement Officer to lead procurement strategies for large-scale real estate and construction projects, drawing on deep expertise in government workflows and a real estate background.

This leadership role requires strong negotiation, supplier management and ESG-aligned sourcing, with oversight of procurement packages, contract negotiations, and collaboration with developers across the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• CIPS certification (or equivalent) is a plus.
• 15+ years of experience in procurement within real estate and construction.
• Extensive experience working with developers in the UAE is essential.
• Strong negotiation, leadership, strategic planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in managing and developing procurement teams.
• Knowledge of UAE procurement laws and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize procurement strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage procurement packages, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets etc
• Oversee sourcing and contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and ESG principles.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to streamline procurement processes.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Lead procurement planning, negotiation, and contract management for large-scale real estate projects.
