Job Title: Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining our patients' oral health through preventive dental care and patient education. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform dental hygiene procedures including dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients' teeth.
2. Conduct comprehensive oral assessments and screenings to identify oral health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
3. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits to promote optimal oral health.
4. Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants to prevent tooth decay and cavities.
5. Take dental X-rays and assist the dentist in evaluating dental radiographs for diagnosis and treatment planning.
6. Perform periodontal charting and assist in periodontal therapy procedures as needed.
7. Provide support during dental surgery procedures including assisting the dentist, preparing surgical instruments, and maintaining a sterile surgical environment.
8. Assist in cosmetic dentistry procedures such as teeth whitening, dental bonding, and veneer placement to enhance patients' smiles and confidence.
9. Assist in general dentistry procedures including fillings, crowns, and extractions to address patients' dental needs and maintain oral health.
10. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records including treatment plans, progress notes, and clinical findings.
11. Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
12. Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
13. Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene techniques, technology, and best practices through continuing education and professional development.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or diploma in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
2. Valid Dental Hygienist license issued by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
