Job description

At Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah, a Demi Chef de Partie is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while assisting with food cost controls.

What will I be doing?

As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. You will also assist with food cost controls. Specifically, your tasks will include:

  1. Prepare and present high-quality dishes within company guidelines.
  2. Keep all working areas clean and tidy, ensuring no cross-contamination.
  3. Prepare mis-en-place for all relevant menus.
  4. Assist in providing timely and efficient responses to guest queries.
  5. Ensure foodstuffs are of good quality and stored correctly.
  6. Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and achieving departmental and financial targets.
  7. Assist other departments as necessary and maintain good working relationships.
  8. Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues.
  9. Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health, safety, and food safety legislation.
  10. Be aware of departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team.
  11. Maintain environmental awareness.
