Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate politely and display courtesy to guests and internal customers.
- Provide direction to the kitchen helpers, including cooks, kitchen attendants, and stewards.
- Report any difficulties, guest or internal customer comments, and other relevant information to superiors.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships among employees.
- Attend and participate in daily briefings and scheduled meetings.
- Participate in scheduled training sessions.
- Prepare food, beverages, materials, and equipment in advance for service.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work area.
- Implement hotel and department regulations, policies, and procedures, including but not limited to:
- House rules and regulations
- Health and safety standards
- Grooming standards
- Standard operating procedures
- HACCP guidelines
Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
Follow the FBM system rules.
Demonstrate awareness of OH&S policies and procedures, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and within guidelines.
Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
Be familiar with property safety, first aid, fire, and emergency procedures, and operate equipment safely and responsibly.
Take initiative to correct hazardous situations and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
Log security incidents and accidents according to hotel requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a luxury restaurant or a 5-star hotel environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to lead a large team.
- Commitment to serving food of the highest quality.
